This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My white board won't erase!!! This is what I hear shouted across my classroom multiple times a week. Entering my 12th year of teaching, my materials are starting to show their age.

My 24 first graders are fun and spunky!

My students come from a low income neighborhood where multiple families share one house. Several of my students' families rent garages with no running water. They have to venture into the house each time they need to use the bathroom or get a drink. Despite the difficulties, my students always come to school excited to learn and excited to have fun!

My Project

Students learn so much more when they are engaged in a lesson. To help them stay engaged, they need to be actively participating in the lesson. One way to help them stay engaged is by using white boards. They love solving math problems, writing a spelling words, and showing me what they know. This also helps me check their learning. To accomplish this, I need white boards and white board markers for my wonderful students.

Your generous donation will help my students to be engaged and learn more.

My students don't get many extras at home, so I need to give them all that I can at school to meet their needs. Thank you for helping improve my students' lives!
