Before meeting the students, teachers must decorate their classrooms and hope that it is appropriate for the group that we have. This year, I chose a superhero theme, and, after meeting my students, I knew that I chose the perfect theme. My students are a super group and always eager to learn new material.
Our school is one of the largest in the state of Tennessee.
It serves nearly 900 students in grades Pre-K through fourth. Our students come from diverse economic backgrounds and 100% of our students receive a free breakfast and lunch. Our school system strives for excellence and never settles for anything less than our best efforts when it comes to teaching and learning.
My Project
My students are kids who enjoy expressing their creativity through writing and pictures. This year I introduced a book writing center in my classroom. My students have absolutely fallen in love with having the opportunity to become authors and illustrators!

Lewis. I fully believe in writing being an adventure all on its own. Many students do not have the opportunities to go out and explore various places, however, they all have the power to create their own dreams by writing!
For this project, I am asking for the Swingline ProClick Binding System, binding spines, pencils, and a pencil sharpener. These items will allow students to turn their writing into their very own books! Not only does this allow students to express their creativity, but it allows them to share their creativity with others.
