My Students

I teach first grade at a Title I school in Anderson, South Carolina. All of the students who attend this school receive free breakfast and lunch. I love working at this wonderful school and being a part of a great team. Our school is the second highest poverty school in the state, but that does not stop me from pushing my students to be the best that they can be. I love all of my amazing first-grade​ students! They are all simply the best!

My Project

The writing materials in my project will give each of my students the opportunity to learn how to become successful writers. The primary writing journals will give my students the room to write while also illustrating their writing. The magnet lined papers will be used as a teaching tool for myself in order to demonstrate and teach students how to write on lined paper correctly. The small lined white boards will be used by each student during writing instruction and also during reading center rotations. I plan to use all of these materials in order to help my students have fun while also learning!
