This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fifth graders are a great group of students who are prepared and ready to learn every day. With the switch to distance learning they have met the challenge and have worked hard each day during our online lessons. They have shown me that they can overcome any challenge that is placed in their way and continue to do quality work. My students mean the world to me and I want to give them the world!
My school is ethnically diverse with students from all over our community.
Many of my students come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.
My Project
Using a whiteboard in my classroom, whether in my home classroom or in our school classroom is a part of our daily routine. It is an opportunity for my students to display their learning and for me to be able to introduce and explain new concepts in math and reading.
With this project as a class we will be able to better utilize our Zoom meetings and small group learning.
On our Zoom meetings and in small groups students will be able to see me model strategies for solving math problems as well as reading skills.
