This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 8th grade students are an energetic, diverse group of learners who come from many cultural and economic backgrounds. I teach English language learners (ELLs) and students with disabilities (SWD), all of whom bring unique strengths and perspectives to our classroom. What makes them special is their resilience, curiosity, and determination to grow, even when they face challenges outside of school.

This project will provide essential supplies pencils, pens, highlighters, and erasers that directly support their learning.

These tools are key to helping my students stay organized, take meaningful notes, and engage more deeply in lessons. Highlighters help them identify key concepts, while pens and pencils allow them to draft, revise, and reflect on their work. Erasers give them the freedom to take risks without fear of making mistakes.

My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students have access to the materials they need to succeed, regardless of their background. With your support, we can eliminate small barriers that often have a big impact, and empower every student to participate confidently and learn effectively.
