Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you see it? I hear students say this at times because the board is so old there are images from the prior writing still visible. This makes it difficult to see clearly what is written on the board.
My students consist of ELL students that are from low income families.
They need to see clearly what is being taught and I'm finding it difficult due to the equipment I have to work with. The board is so old and there is no money to get a new one this year. I have used a portable dry erase board but it is too small to use for all lessons.
My Project
The board is used to write teaching points. It is also used to have students interactively write during morning message. We also use the board to learn math concepts every day. The board is an important tool used each and every day and it would be wonderful to be able to erase old work and write new work without having to scrub it down only to still be able to see traces of old lessons coming through. My students need a double-wide teaching easel so they can see what they are learning.
This generous donation will help students have a clear view of the day's lesson.
It is a much needed tool to help students learn. My students would be so excited to be able to get "write" to work without having to stop and erase, erase and erase old images that just won't go away.
