I have 21 amazing and busy first-grade kiddos this year. My kids love to learn and are hard workers. While we have everything we need, these supplies would help our classroom become a more comfortable and fun place to learn for my active class.
I teach in a Title I school, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and supper.
Despite the economic hardships of our community, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They come ready to learn each day with a great attitude. They support each other and look out for each other.
By offering new and different ways to learn, students will be more successful.
My Project
When you're in first grade, writing can be hard. These incredible journals would show kids where to write and give them a nice blank spot to be able to draw their picture. These journals have the larger lines for my little learners to be able to write at an appropriate size for their age level, instead of stressing about trying to stay in the small lines of a regular notebook. These journals will get kids excited to write and draw each day in our room.
Children who are more active perform better in core subjects.
By helping my students get more active, we're able to help them focus better during our math, reading, and writing times. Dodgeballs will allow us to play lots of different games during our PE times. Plus, the kids love being able to throw the ball at me and try to get me out when we play dodgeball!
Help me make writing and running more fun for my first graders.
