This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is home to 2nd-grade emergent bilingual students—energetic and bright learners who are mastering a new language. They thrive on visual and hands-on activities that provide them with an opportunity to practice new vocabulary and grammar in a low-pressure environment. To truly meet their needs, we need learning tools that can adapt to them, not the other way around. A portable whiteboard with dry-erase markers is the perfect solution.

This portable whiteboard will serve as a bridge, connecting my students' home language knowledge to their growing English skills.

By providing a low-risk platform for verbal and visual communication, your donation will unlock new opportunities for my students to participate actively, build vocabulary, and gain the confidence they need to succeed.

Your support will provide a lasting resource that will help my students roll into a more confident and verbal future, equipping them with the tools they need for years to come.
