Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English language learners. Most of them are very polite and respectful. Many of my students love to come to my ELD (ESOL) class because they like to get my attention and more chances to participate in activities due to small group instructions. Also, school supplies, prizes and rewards such as positive feedback, snacks, and toys motivate them to learn English language. Therefore, they need school supplies, sanitary items, snacks and toys all the time to get motivated to learn.

I am utilizing ELD Writing Toolkit to teach my students how to write to argue, narrate, inform, and explain.

I want them to experience that writing is so fun. Writing process is very long and challenging for my students, so I need to teach them through various hands-on activities using scissors, glues, markers, folders, binders, ziplocks, etc. We also need sanitary supplies all the time such as clorox wipes, paper towels, disposable gloves. I am sure that all these materials will help motivate them to write more and more.
