My Students

My students need diversity in their math materials. My students are curious and eager to learn about the world around them. I want to foster this curiosity with extensive materials to enhance their learning.

The students will practice at independent learning centers that build skills at just the right pace.

They are an amazing group of students and I love seeing them excited about learning. These resources are relevant and applicable to the areas and standards that will be presented in second grade.

My Project

I have selected these learning materials that will provide opportunities to enhance student-led learning. They will be able to participate in learning disguised as games and activities. I have seen first hand how student choice time can positively affect demeanor and decrease undesired behaviors. Students will be able to select topic related math activities during their independent learning time. This promotes active engagement, teamwork, friendship, rule-following, and creativity. My goal is to provide opportunities to help my students become successful and enthusiastic young learners while learning how to work well with their peers. I would love to be able to provide my students with this resource!
