This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are bursting with curiosity. Six year olds need concrete examples and to see things visually to learn. Having a number line form 0-120 and a hundreds chart hung on the wall will help the students of our elementary school see visually the patterns that numbers make. The teachers will be able to help the students discover patterns and really learn the base 10 system. It's amazing to see the little light bulbs go off when discovery is made. Having these items hung up for the year will allow for many different types of discussions.
