This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students love exploring new materials and techniques and expressing their personalities, thoughts, interests, and feelings through art, making connections to their life and other subject areas. I’m amazed by their curiosity and creativity and want to keep giving them as many experiences in art as possible!
My Project
My students have done an incredible job with virtual learning, I am so proud! And thankful to families as well. However, as we continue, I want my students to experience materials beyond paper and pencil. This project would allow me to provide a watercolor paint set and paper to my students so that we can paint in art even if we’re not in the classroom. This will help lessons that have to do with color mixing, watercolor techniques, and allow students to express themselves in a new medium. I would distribute materials to be used at home.
