Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I know every year teachers say this has been the best class, but I can truly say that I mean it with this group of students. I had an experience that most teachers will probably never get. I have been with this group of students for 3 years! I started with them in kinder, then first, and now we are in second grade, and I just received great news that I get to go with them to third grade, but that news made me realize I need a new library.

My library needs to be suitable for third graders!

As I look at my library, I realize a lot of my books are not challenging or interesting for third graders. I have always been in the lower grades, so I have a lot of picture books, but those are not suitable for my third graders.

For this reason, I am requesting chapter books that not only will be interesting for my new third graders but will also be challenging and more appropriate.
