This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My hardworking students come from low-income households in Fort Worth, Texas. While my students face much adversity in their daily lives, school is their safe haven. However, COVID-19 has changed the lives of my students because they are having to be even more adaptable than ever before.
My students are eager to learn, and it is so rewarding to see how much they grow during the year.
Our students are extremely bright, talented, and awesome young people who deserve educational opportunities that will help to enrich their life. Ultimately, we are helping them see their true potential and reach beyond the stars.
My Project
Many of the manipulatives I incorporate during center time are worn out. I would love to replace some of them that are on their last leg. These manipulatives and games will give students opportunities to reinforce what they have learned in whole group.
They also give students new and exciting ways to demonstrate what they have learned and skills they have mastered.
Practice in centers will allow students extra practice in a group setting. I can not wait to see how these manipulatives will positively benefit my classroom. Thank you.
