My students need 2 political globes.
I am a third grade teacher in a rural Pennsylvania community where many of our students are on free or reduced lunch. They do not have many opportunities to see the world outside their community.
I would love to educate my students about concepts not only inside their community, but also places around the world. Right now, I try to show my students places we are learning about on a map. However, the students do not understand the concept of the world being round, not flat.
Two globes would help give my students the visual they need to picture our world. During reading and social studies classes we often talk about places around the world. The globes would be a great asset for my students to see these places that we read about in class.
Your help will make it possible for my students to have the opportunity to learn more about their world through a visual aid that they can understand.
