My Students
I teach at a title 1 school in San Diego. I have the opportunity of teaching a very diverse group of students. We have grown together, learned together, struggled together, persevered together, laughed together, and yes even cried together.
I want my students to know that I not only see their differences and needs, but understand and accept them as well.
We are constantly exploring different careers and passions to try and figure out what they love. Whether they choose college, trade school, the military, etc. I want them to be productive members of society on the path to gainful employment. There is so much out there for them and their paths are bright!
My Project
This year my students and I are exploring different careers while also taking personality tests to find out our passions and interests through the World of Work program. Theme park engineer is among them!
With K'NEX my students will be able to unplug from technology and build with their imagination and hands.
These supplies will supplement the online programs we use to build theme parks. We can design our parks online and then build 3-D models. Whether they design and build a fun house, a rollercoaster, a ferris wheel, or a log ride, we are going to have a blast!
