The students love them! They like how the letters are magnetic. As a teacher, the trays are great for having students manipulate the phonemes in words. \r\n\r\nThe trays will be used for many years to come and with a lot of students. Thanks to your support, our classroom now has a color printer that has already begun making a big difference in our daily routines. Having access to color printing right in our room allows me to create vibrant visuals, visual schedules, and reward incentives for my students quickly and easily. These materials help keep my students engaged, organized, and motivated throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThis printer has also been a huge time-saver for me. Instead of having to send print jobs to the office and wait to retrieve them, I can now produce what my students need on the spot—whether it's a visual aid for a new lesson or a last-minute resource to support a student's individual learning needs. Your generosity has made our classroom more efficient, creative, and student-centered, and I truly cannot thank you enough for investing in our learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1752780512948,"projectUrl":"project/creating-routine-and-regulation-with-col/9446599/","projectTitle":"Creating Routine and Regulation with Colorful Visuals","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Robin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9644291_orig.jpg?crop=3753,3753,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751821829581","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9644291"},{"teacherId":6188314,"projectId":9756839,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution to my class. Using the resources provided, I have been able to make October a spooky month for students in STEM. \r\nWith the vinegar and baking soda, I have been engaging students TK-1st in a lesson called Frankenworm which allows them to explore the difference between physical and chemical changes. Students were so excited and amazed at seeing the reaction between vinegar and baking soda. They have been able to build background knowledge and vocabulary through these different experiments. \r\n\r\nI will use the read aloud to connect to my older level science activity-the Pumpkin Clock. Students will use the lemon clock kit from the Truth and Myth science to engineer a clock using not a lemon but a pumpkin. I am so excited to complete this projects with grades 3-6th. I was able to use the playdoh and popsicle sticks for my TK-3rd grade engineering project which I collected to literacy. We read the original story of the Three Little Pigs as well as the True Story of the Three Little Pigs to help build background knowledge and vocabulary. Students were then asked to engineer a house using the supplies provided. Students had a lot of fun with this challenge-and started exploring if engineering was a career they are interested in. \r\n\r\nThe tape has been essential for my tower project in grades 4-6th grade. They have been competing to build the most stable and tallest tower. Students have enjoyed learning about constraints and criteria through this project. They have only been allowed to use paper and tape so it has been quite the challenge for them! \r\n\r\nMy next steps are continuing using the playdoh for a variety of engineering projects as well as using it for students to build models in science with to help them understand a variety of topics. We will be learning about the skeletal system so I am excited for students to be able to use play doh to make a model of this system. I am also excited to use the Bridge Builders in the next few weeks with students. \r\n\r\nBeing the STEM teacher for about 800 students has been so much fun, but also requires a ton of planning and materials, so donations like these go a really long way. These supplies helped support a month of engineering and science for all grade levels. Students have had a blast learning about different careers in STEMS and my goal is to continue to give them opportunities to explore different types of sciences.","fullyFundedDate":1757533280327,"projectUrl":"project/stem-supplies/9698516/","projectTitle":"STEM Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Walsh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp6188314_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1547440806371","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6188314"},{"teacherId":9644291,"projectId":9106511,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for helping my students and I start our very own garden! The Counting Ice Cream Cones make practicing number recognition and counting so much fun, and my students love \"scooping\" up the correct numbers. The cars and road signs have inspired imaginative play while reinforcing lessons about community and traffic safety. With the Alphabet Learning Locks, students eagerly work together to match letters and sounds, building early literacy skills in a hands-on way. And the Block Play People have brought storytelling and social-emotional learning to life, helping students explore different roles and relationships.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our learning journey, these materials will support our next steps in math, literacy, and problem-solving. We're planning activities where students will use the ice cream cones for simple addition and subtraction, and the road signs will help us discuss map skills and positional words. The learning locks will remain a favorite tool for reinforcing letter recognition, and the block people will be part of storytelling and role-playing activities that build communication skills.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom, turning everyday lessons into joyful, meaningful experiences. My students are spending long days learning, exploring, and growing, and having a fresh, healthy space helps them stay focused and feel their best. We're currently learning about the five senses, and we connected the purifier to our discussions about how we breathe and why air quality matters.
