This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love my students for what they are trying to do in such a difficult school year. With the amount of screen time needed for attending class and then time spent to complete homework for all of their classes, it takes a special group and significant dedication to be successful. This year I have all 9th graders and I know that they did not get to end 8th grade the way they intended and certainly did not anticipate starting high school like this.

My Project

My goal is to award 4 World Maps to each of my 4 sections of World Geography for remote learning. This will encourage those students to put their camera on and have an appropriate backdrop and background for all of their classes during this unique 2020-2021 school year.

A fitting background like this will come in handy as we study the regions of the world 2nd semester.

Quick references to Sub-Saharan Africa, Southwest Asia and South Asia will be right behind them. Students will have a souvenir for their time spent studying the world!
