Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with about 50% of our students receiving free lunch. The program is fairly new at our school and my students are craving more culture and language exposure.

My students are inspiring, creative, full of life, and eager to learn.

We are not an ethnically diverse community, but my students become citizens of the world as soon as they step into the classroom. They are inquisitive and like to explore their world and those around them. I hope to provide rich opportunities to continue to grow in a creative and positive way.

My Project

My students need books that are age appropriate and foster student growth. They would benefit from leveled readers that feature exciting and innovative ideas.

Books and games in the classroom will improve student engagement and behavior.

Students will be able to transport themselves to other parts of the world by being able to read a variety of diverse books. Students will also benefit from classroom posters since they will be surrounded by visual stimulation that will reinforce their learning. Colorful posters will spark curiosity of other cultures and languages.

Incentives will help foster our positive classroom community and reward continuous student growth.
