Working With Words

Help me give my students hands on activities for our reading stations. My students love to be able to build words but we just don't have enough magnetic letters for the whole group to make words!

My Students

As a teacher at a magnet school, my students have diverse backgrounds. Students come from urban areas, suburban areas, and even some rural areas! We have them all working together and learning from each other.

Although my students come from various nationalities they all come to school to learn and grow.

My job as their teachers is to provide them with a safe place for them to learn and grow during their year with me. During the year, we become a family.

My Project

My students are constantly working on their phonetic skills and building words. My students love to be able to build their words with magnets.

As we are nearing the end of first grade our words have become longer and we are running out of magnetic letters.

The students are in need of more magnets so they can build longer words without having to share their trays.

The other games will help give my students some different ways to work on their word building skills. This will also help some of my students who need a self check system for their word work.
