My Students
Our low-income, Title I school is full of students, teachers, and staff that are hardworking, goal-oriented, and passionate about teaching and learning. Although most of my third grade students face unimaginable challenges at home, they come to school eager to learn each day. Over 75% of our school qualifies for free or reduced lunch which means that many of my students do not get to experience the world in ways that many of us take for granted.
My goal is to engage my students in real world tasks that will expose them to a world far beyond the four walls of our classroom.
My classroom is a community where students work together, support each other, and are not afraid to take risks. We set goals and dream big!
My Project
These fun, engaging math games will be the perfect addition to incorporate into our daily math center time. The games like "I have, Who Has" and "Fraction City" will reinforce concepts and skills that we are working on in class.
Students will not even realize that they are practicing math skills as they work together to solve problems in exciting and interactive ways!
The markers, paper, and glue will be used daily for our math and science interactive notebooks. Not only are interactive notebooks a great resource for students both at school and at home, but they also help to accommodate several different learning styles in the classroom. My students enjoy using interactive notebooks to build their math, science, and organizational skills!
