My Students

Located on the Flathead Native American Reservation in Montana, our Middle School serves over 400 students in 5th through 8th grade students from the surrounding areas.

We have a large Native American population (just over 50%) representing the Salish, Kootenai and Pend D’Oreille tribes.

Almost 90% of our students qualify as “low-income.”

We are located near the South of the Flathead Lake (the largest freshwater lake in the United States) and West of the beautiful Mission Mountains. We are the chiefs and maidens!

My Project

My students do 100% of their work on whiteboards. This allows them to make corrections, collaborate and have their work checked from across the room.

Students love the friendly work environment created by using the whiteboard materials.

They genuinely enjoy showing their work in this manner. This is an amazing thing for middle school math students.

After completing their assignments on the tables, students use class digital devices to take pictures of and submit their work electronically, saving paper and pencil in the process!
