This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Tile 1 public charter school that primarily serves a lower socioeconomic population with a lot of English Language Learners. There are many more difficulties a majority of our students experience on a day-to-day basis than I some other schools. I
My Project
As our weight room expands and grows, as does the students that fill it. Our student population is filled with student-athletes, along with many other kids who just want the opportunity to transform. With these tools, we will be able to give the students what they have been wanting for so long!
COVID-19 really put a damper on all of our student's lives and well being.
It really made life tough for those that love being out and about. I want to be able to give the students a piece of what they lost, and that is confidence in themselves.
