My Project

Our students with special needs use a lot of hands on practice to master skills and to retain those skills that they have learned once the skill is mastered. This involves lots of hands on practice and learning in different ways. Some students learn best by using pencil and paper to complete tasks.

Sometimes it is helpful to use resources created by other teachers to practice those same skills.

Teachers work hard to create materials that are fun and engaging. I love hands on materials and ideas such as stations. Using materials that have already been created saves me a lot of time so I can focus more on helping students.

This not only saves time, but also supports other teachers who work hard to share materials and help students master concepts. Often these teachers have already created materials that are right on target as well as cute and fun.
