This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students of my classroom are very smart and curious children. Their minds are open to new and exciting challenges. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am happy to provide new and exciting learning techniques and methods to teach them. My students come to school each day wanting me to provide them with many opportunities to grow as young mathematicians, readers, writers, artists, and scientists. With my help and guidance they will be able to keep growing as students, as employees, and as well rounded, happy successful people.

My Project

My students are active and curious children. Asking them to sit in uncomfortable chairs for long periods of time, is difficult for a teacher to do. I want my students to have the chance to wiggle and adjust in a safe and comfortable way.

With these seat cushions, my students will be comfortable and have the chance to focus better on their academic work.

By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Movement actually allows for alertness and attention. With more alertness, more learning will take place, students will be more engaged, and ultimately students will feel their new level of successfulness.
