My students need to WIGGLE! I have found that students work more carefully, diligently, and can concentrate easier when they are able to be comfortable in their environment. Third graders need to wiggle to be comfortable so I am requesting wobble cushions, beanbags, and bouncy bands.

My Students
My classroom is a place of hard work and discovery. My kids are inquisitive, energetic, spontaneous, super intelligent, and fun. I am interested in acquiring things to help keep the students' interest in the things we learn on a daily basis, as well as comfortable places for the kids to immerse themselves in learning. I love hands-on projects and my kids do, too. I also like things to be easily seen, heard, and understood by all my kids in the class. While a class of this many kids can propose some challenges, I will try everything I can to make my classroom a fun, challenging, comfortable, safe, and interesting educational experience for them.
My Project
Third grade students need to wiggle and be comfortable in their environment. Studies have proven this and any lower elementary teacher you’ve met will tell you the same thing. We have big things to do in third grade and I need my kids to be comfortable so that they can focus on the tasks at hand. The items I have chosen not only make them comfortable, but also help them to relieve some of the energy that is always present in their bodies without bothering others and allowing them to focus. Wobble cushions, beanbags, and bouncy bands are some of the items I’ve chosen. Each one helps my kids relieve the excess energy they have or to be comfortable in their environment. By doing so, it helps them to be able to concentrate on learning the material I’m presenting and to be more successful students.
