Work Spaces for Creativity and Collaboration

My students need flexible seating in the classroom that promotes creativity and collaboration. These white board tables would allow students to collaborate and record their ideas for problem solving right on the table.

My Students

I have 32 wonderful students that come in every day full of life and ready to learn. We work collaboratively on many Project Based Learning Tasks using 21st-century skills. We are a 1:1 digital classroom where students are highly engaged and eager to learn. Our classroom is located in Arcadia, California.

My students love to work together and support each other.

We have started flexible seating in the classroom and the students are really enjoying it. I love hearing them talk about the things they are learning in small discussion groups and their wonderful sense of curiosity. It is a joy to work with these students every day.

My Project

We have started flexible seating in our classroom to provide comfort and choice of unique seating options. My students really appreciate having a choice of where they would like to sit to be the most productive. It has been very successful and we would like to add another furniture option that would aid in their learning.

We would like to add two whiteboard tables to provide a workspace that promotes creativity and collaboration.

These tables would allow students to work together and record ideas right on the table thus increasing their problem solving and innovation skills. Many companies have expressed that creativity, collaboration, and problem solving are important skills for jobs in the future. I use project based learning and collaborative challenges often in the classroom and these would enhance those experiences.
