My Project
My students are increasingly aware of different ways to improve the skills and talents that they have. As I teach Functional Curriculum, I want them to practice in their everyday participation and engagement one of the important life skills a student has to master- Organizational Skills!
By giving my students a designated office/work supply station in the classroom equipped with materials needed, it will enable them to practice organization through sorting, categorizing, labeling, and being neat at their working station.
Having the workstation will also boost their confidence in practicing the clerical skills that they might need after high school. I want to help my students start to master simple organization skills by simply keeping track of items as they use them, returning items to their places after use, and creating and developing sensible strategies and physical solutions for facilitating workflow, cleanliness, and efficiency in a workspace. Having good organizational skills also makes it easier to collaborate with others and helps increase productivity and planning.
