My Students
"Hey Ms. G!" "What are we going to learn today?" "I missed you!" Some of the morning cheer that I am fortunate to hear from my students. I work with fifth grade students in an inclusion setting. Our school is a title I school with all students receiving free lunch.
My students come from diverse backgrounds with many challenges, socially, emotionally, and financially.
Even with these challenges, my students come to school with a smile on their face, eager to learn and ready for the rigor of the school day. Every day I look forward to coming to school to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which my student can thrive.
My Project
In our classroom, working in small groups is essential for learning new concepts as well as reinforcing concepts learned. As a teacher in an inclusion classroom, I need to be able to have a place to work with students in small groups and individually to ensure they have learned the content. It is also a place students may work at when working in groups and other projects. I feel it'll improve their work and academic performance by having an area to go for extra help and minimal distractions. I would love to have the support to make this happen for my inclusion classroom and energetic 5th grade students! Thank you!
