This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What makes my students so special? They have a teacher that is loving and cares for them! Being an inner-city school that is striving to meet the needs of each student, there are a lot of materials that go into meeting those needs. All of our students come to us with varied abilities as well as needs.

I believe that every student is capable of learning and deserves the tools to help them be successful.

I am a 7th grade Social Studies teacher and I am looking for materials for our school-wide behavior incentive program.

My Project

Middle School is such a crazy time. New friends, new school work, new expectations, and not to mention the added responsibilities of growing up. As a grade level, we are trying to stress the importance of working hard. Our students are starting to see the value of hard work. Therefore, we would like to reward them for keeping their focus and being their best selves.

As adults we often reward ourselves for a good day's work, so why not reward the students!

With this project, I am hoping to fund a locked cabinet to keep all of these prizes, as well as many different prizes. The headphones will help the students be able to listen to in-class assignments as we do digital work. The wireless mouses have been a huge hit in the past. So this will add a surprising flair for the students. Drinking cups will help the students keep water on them throughout the day and reduce our use of paper cups as a school. There are also some options for keychains and ornaments that students can make as gifts for their families. Lastly, different snacks not only will motivate the students, but a treat every now and then is never a bad thing.
