Help me give my students outdoor structured recess materials such as jump ropes, bubbles, Velcro catchers, and a blue tooth speaker so they can take a break from the rigors of hybrid instruction.

My Students
Take a moment to think about your kindergarten experience. Did you just get a feeling of nostalgia, too? Kindergarten is an amazing and fun time that teaches you the foundations of reading, writing, and math.
The children I teach are energetic, wonderful, hardworking students.
Some of them come from situations that no one should ever experience. They impress me every day with their awesome attitudes and desire to learn. We are a full-day kindergarten class at a Title I school. Most of our students qualify for the free breakfast and lunch program. The student population is 33% Caucasian, 26% Hispanic, 12% Asian, 11% African American, and 28% other.
My Project
Our school has been given the green light to return to face to face learning; however, we will not be permitted to use the playground. That doesn't mean we will forgo recess. Instead, we will have to be creative in how we do recess.
Recess gives students opportunities for social and emotional interactions they can’t get in the classroom, where the teacher is generally at the lead and the students are usually quietly participating or in groups It’s also the time of day when a great deal of social and emotional learning takes place.
Through play at recess, children learn valuable communication skills, including negotiation, cooperation, sharing, and problem solving as well as coping skills, such as perseverance and self-control. These skills become fundamental, lifelong personal tools. Recess offers a child a necessary, socially structured means for managing stress.
I am hoping to put together individual recess bags to give my students a safe and fun play opportunity. The blue tooth speaker will be used to play songs for outdoor dance parties, as well as freeze dance. The jump ropes, movement cards and velcro balls will be important resources for the students structured recess! They will be able to play with the items and get much needed exercise. The chalk, bubbles, and silk wands will give the students a chance to let their creativity shine! All the items will fit inside the drawstring bags. These bags will give them the opportunity to explore social and emotional learning while remaining at a safe distance from their peers. I want to give them the fun learning environment they deserve!
