Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves 555 students in grades K-8. Students come from all over our urban school setting for the strong academics and sense of community offered at our campus. Students work hard during the school day to grow as individuals, learners, and society members.
Students work hard so that they can play hard; through our sports program!
Our school has worked over the years to develop a strong sports program. We offer a variety of sports to students in grades five-eight. We believe that sports help to develop well-rounded people by teaching them problem solving skills, teamwork, and self-discipline.
My Project
This equipment is essential to supporting our student athletes and coaches throughout the winter sports season, and beyond. Each item in this project was suggested by one of our coaches. They are items that will allow our coaches to be more organized, with the dry erase clipboards and ball bags. They will allow coaches to better train our student athletes, with the blocking guards and pads and shot markers. Ultimately, this equipment will grow our sports program.
With the proper equipment, our sports program will be able to go from good to great!
Our student athletes and coaches will be able to focus even more on their training, on and off the field.
