My Students

My students are bright, hard-working and fun preschoolers! They are learning new things every day and are determined to share their knowledge and passions.

Our students receive intensive supports.

Each student has been diagnosed as having Autism; our focus is on collaborating with the students, families and their Developmental Preschool teachers to ensure they are receiving the best supports to continue learning and growing.

Students have their own individualized goals that include pre-academics and fine motor, sharing and engaging with others, increasing their verbal communication and initiating/requesting what they want. We love to hear our students' voices as they increase their independence!

My students receive intensive instruction with our staff and benefit from having a wide variety of activities that support their individual goals. We want them to be able to communicate their needs, be prepared for an academic setting, be acclimated to the structure of the school day and ready to enter Kindergarten with success.

I feel quite fortunate to have a job that I am passionate about, and my students are the reason! It is my goal each day to ensure that they have access to a diverse range of materials and opportunities to help them thrive!

My Project

My students will begin the school year at home with their families. I will be working with families through online live lessons and individualized instruction for all of my students. These materials will ensure all of my students have the same materials for our lessons and will be able to blend letter and number recognition with tactile feedback, practicing writing and verbal output.

When we return to school the students will continue to work at their own work centers and we will need to keep their materials separated for individualization and safety.

These materials will ensure all of our students have what they need!
