This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I’m a first year teacher, who is SO excited to start off the year and be the best I can be for my new students. I am absolutely in love with my new school and can’t wait to get this year going and my classroom full of lots of learning!!

I met my students for the first time today and they are a bunch of sweethearts, ready to learn!

Unfortunately, I have limited supplies, and limited money after interning and student teaching for 14 months. Bridgeport has had budget cuts, which unfortunately has limited our supplies. I want to make sure I can give these kiddos everything they deserve!

My Project

My classroom has no easel for us to work together on projects, learning as a community is SO important. An easel and chart paper will allow us to do that!

I am asking for copy paper because we are only supplied 2 reams of copy paper a month, which makes it hard to ensure they are getting exactly what they need, including worksheets, projects or just paper to draw on on a rainy day during recess.

With multiple reams of paper my students will always be supplied what they need! . Please help me ensure they are able to work hard every single day!
