Help me give my students a pencil sharpener and take home work pouches
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Fraas's classroom raised $190

My Project
I am a first-grade teacher and teach a variety of subjects from reading/math to science and social studies. The school that I teach in is a Title I school whose students, many of whom do not speak English at home, come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. These elementary students also tend to come from single-parent homes, to have grandparents raising them, or to be in financial need.
I would love to bring reading into my students' homes.
Reading is a very important part of everyday life, and my students need to practice every chance that they can get. That is why I would like to get daily reading logs and take-home backpacks for my students. Most of my students do not have the funds for storybooks or notebooks. Having these two things would let my students practice reading, practice writing, and help get their families involved also. Help me help my students get a new pencil sharpener, so that we can sharpen pencils and colored pencils without hassle.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
