My Project

My students are amazing! The group that is coming to me next year, I taught in first grade. They are used to me allowing them freedom in seating, but more choices would be ideal.

As adults, we enjoy having a choice, and so do kids.

I can’t give them as much choice as I would like, but the option of where to work and where to sit is a small way I can encourage them to work. A bean bag for the student of the day and a nice chair to share work from on the carpet would inspire students to try and learn and share ideas. Floor cushions could be used by half the class while the other half used the flexible seating already available.

I just want my kids who don’t have much to feel special while they are in my room. Any help you could provide is appreciated.
