My Project
I strive to create an engaging learning environment for my students. To enrich their vocabulary, enhance their spelling, and promote language fluency, I want to provide some interactive word games, including Scrabble, Tapple, Bananagrams, Word on the Street, and Apples to Apples. These resources will be used during our special "Wordy Wednesdays," a dedicated day where students engage in fun and collaborative "wordy" gameplay. By playing these games, students will not only expand their vocabulary but also strengthen their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in an enjoyable and supportive setting. Games like Scrabble will encourage them to think critically about word formation, while Bananagrams will promote quick thinking and word recall under pressure.
The collaborative nature of these games will allow my students to learn from one another, fostering teamwork and communication skills while helping to bridge the gap between their home languages and English.
These word games are not just about vocabulary; they’re about empowering my students to succeed in their language learning journey.
