My Students

The students at my school are eager to learn and especially enjoy learning through books. As a school, we strive to instill a lifelong love of reading.

As a charter school in a lower-income area, with more than 40 percent of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunches, my students do more with less.

Yet, their passion to succeed can be seen in the fact that we test as one of the top schools in the state on standardized tests.

My Project

We need some replacement headphones to use when the students are on the computers doing activities that require sound. My students come from a variety of economic backgrounds and don't all have the ability to bring their own set of headphones from home. I want to be able to provide quality, reliable headphones for every student in my classroom.

These headphones will allow every student the same opportunity to learn and grow with the use of technology.

We do a variety of curriculum-related activities on our computers, and having working headphones for every student allows them to work at their own pace and levels.
