This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First grade is magical, especially when you open a book and start to read. When it comes time to read, many of my students will tell me right away they can't read. I want to change that. I want them to believe that they are great readers. The materials that I am requesting are to do just that.
The word building games and books that I have selected are to help my students practice hands-on, the skills we've been learning.
They will strengthen their letter sounds and decoding skills to become the best readers in first grade!
