My Project

Dear DonorsChoose Community,

Each day, I have the privilege of teaching students with varied speech and language needs, developing the skills they need for academic and social success.

My students are truly special. They are trusting, silly, and demonstrate a strong desire to connect with the world around them, even when communication is difficult.

The Kibbit game is a fun, engaging way to develop critical language skills such as describing, sentence building, and following directions. Engaging Pre-2nd graders in play-based learning is key to maintaining their focus and motivation. The books and picture cards will be invaluable for building vocabulary and practicing speech sounds in a meaningful context. These resources will also build literacy and social skills.

Your donation will directly impact my students' communication success! Students make progress more quickly when they are engaged in learning. Your support is appreciated.
