My students need magnetic letters and letter stamps for their word work center. This will make it more interactive and interesting for the students to learn the spelling pattern and high-frequency words of the week.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Throughout the years, I have implemented learning centers in my instruction. This year, the students have naturally adapted to the routine and procedures of centers in my classroom and know exactly what to do. I need your help to give them more hands-on materials and experiences while learning in their centers.
Students in my class love to work in groups and enjoy our daily rotation centers.
In these centers, the students work independently, cooperatively, and in small group direct instruction. I am looking for help to purchase more hands-on materials for students to use in our word work center. My class has 23 2nd graders. The school is a small neighborhood school where all students walk or get dropped off(no busses).
My Project
Having my students do worksheets everyday for word work is neither engaging nor motivating. I want them to have these materials to manipulate letters and play with words. Playing with words will help them make connections between spelling patterns. I also think that using magnetic letters and stamps will make learning spelling and word patterns a lot of fun! They will think they are playing, but I know they will be learning. I also believe this will help my students that are reluctant to finish worksheets stay on task and it will motivate them to learn and to try their best.
