Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to look at our page! I teach 55, 5th grade gifted and talented students at an incredible school in South Carolina.
My students are a diverse group of GATE students who are smart, sensitive, and eager to learn!
We are on a journey of self-discovery and independence this year as we discover what it is that makes us each unique! We focus on hands-on and creative learning while always achieving and striving toward our personal best.
My Project
Flocabulary's educational hip-hop songs and videos embed academic vocabulary into lessons on varied topics across all the academic subjects.
Flocabulary’s multimodal approach to standards-based instruction reaches all learners where they are and engages them in rigorous academic content.
Their research-based videos and activities build the background knowledge and vocabulary students need to succeed.
What's more, Flocabulary videos are fun. Many of my students were taught last year by a colleague with a classroom Flocabulary subscription and kids lobby me to use Flocabulary.
I'm hoping to fund an annual teacher Flocabulary subscription because this gives students full access to a suite of learning activities to use independently on their devices at home while we are Virtual Learning. This will help keep students engaged during a difficult time of E-learning.
Furthermore, I know access to Flocabulary will provide better instruction to all students in my classroom.
