My Students

Our students are really cool, they come from all types of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are in the heart of Silicon Valley, where a lot of tech and computer courses are the focus.

Students are excited to use the power tools and are very proud of the projects that they make.

The majority of the students here are really good kids an value good teaching. Having Woodshop gives the students a whole new world. This project would be an awesome addition to the shop focusing on safety for the students.

My Project

It is a great honor to teach Woodshop, it is making a comeback and the students are enjoying their experience in Woodshop. Our classes are large and we have a drill press, students still have to have to wait to use the drill press. We have the space to fit an additional drill press but we do not have the budget. Students have a short time in class we try to give the students use their time wisely. Woodshop classes are full and often times the students have to wait quite a bit to use the drill press and this leads to down time. I would like to try to limit the amount of down time the students have. Using DonorsChoose.org would allow use to give the students what they need, a quality drill press that will last 20 plus years.
