This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love teaching woodworking skills to my students who never have used woodworking equipment before. With these courses being cut by many schools and school districts students are not learning these life skills. In my school district my woodworking class is the only middle school program. With my program some of my students move on to the CTE Construction course in one of the 5 high school programs. They may even become carpenters which we need in my area since the bad wild fires that destroyed whole neighborhoods this past year.
