Elementary school has changed greatly over the last few years. We have moved beyond only sitting at desks and working individually on building isolated skills. In a classroom today, you would see much more interaction, involving STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities and simulations. My students are excited and motivated to work with technology in a wide variety of formats.
My 5th grade students are curious, innovative, and eager to experiment with robotics.
Be supporting this project, you will give them the chance to enjoy the world of robotics.
My Project
STEAM activities, such as Sphero, Lego Robotics, and LittleBits Electronics, give students a chance to create in a collaborative environment. This allows them to build skills in problem solving, communication, and engineering. Using the materials requested my students will work together to create machines, build coding skills and become more engaged in the learning process.
The materials will allow my students to stretch their thinking skills while enjoying the process of building and creating.
These kits will also enhance fine motor and social skills by allowing kids to work with their hands and friends.
