Wonders of Weather and the Earth

My Project

This project will provide materials for a thematic unit on weather and its effect on Earth. Students will study the geological history of the earth, scientific principles of weather, and conduct research on past natural disasters. Students will discuss how human interactions with the earth have created problems, and brainstorm solutions for the future.

This project will create an interdisciplinary approach to learning by including fiction texts with the I Survived books on natural disasters, nonfiction texts to study the scientific principles as well as engineering challenges with the purchase of rocks and minerals, volcano and tornado kits.
