Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love to learn and face new challenges. They have not been exposed to nor engaged in Steam activities. The are eager to learn and create and I want to give them the opportunity to succeed. My students are naturally motivated and will welcome the challenge to learn at a higher level. They are creative, thoughtful and inquisitive. They retain more information with hands-on, active, engaging projects that pique their interest.
My students are hands-on learners who like to dig deep and get dirty.
They like to get to the core of the problem and find a solution. My students will be able to take huge steps into the future and find success with this project.
My Project
I have noticed that students do not read just for the joy of reading. I want to bring back that joy through comic book reading. I believe that when my student picks up these books, they will again learn to read just for the pleasure of reading. This new found love will help increase fluency and comprehension.
Max Axiom will give my students exciting adventures of science and technology.
They will be able to travel through the wonders of science in a stimulating fun manner. They will rediscover the joy of reading and learn academic content. Help me grab the minds of my students and hook them on books!!
