Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of my students come from low-income neighborhoods and attend a 100+-year-old school with very old facilities. The know they do not have the best when it comes to facilities, but I would like to give them the best digital content possible!
They want to learn, but sometimes have a hard time feeling comfortable in a crowded classroom.
These students span from 9th - 12th grade, and typically struggle with science. They deserve to have the best technology available to help them achieve academically.
My Project
The students struggle to find enough space in the classroom, and it does not help when their teacher has to stand in front of them to control the wired-in computer and projector. I often hear, "Mr. Dillon, you blocking the screen again!"
When the projector is connected wirelessly the students will have unobstructed views of the screen in front of them, and they will even be able to connect directly to give their own digital presentations.
Students need to have updated technology to thrive in the modern world. This is a great start to allow the students to have cord-free digital experience.
