My Students
"I wish we had school on Saturdays!"
That's when you know you've had a successful week as a teacher!
Our school is a wonderful low-income primary school located in central Illinois. It's home to just over 250 amazing students. Our free or reduced-price lunch population is near 65 percent.
Even with their economical challenges, our students come to school each day eager to learn and ready for more! We teach them never to settle for less than their personal best, and it surely shows!
My Project
Third graders just love hands-on learning! The way we teach and practice through workshops is right up their alley!
There are learning activities that we to laminate so that they will be durable and last all year or even longer!
For example, we work on multiplication year round in third grade, so the math games we create need to tough and made to last! It uses up fewer resources if you laminate them, too. We can all do our part in saving the Earth!
When we run math, writing and reading workshops, the kids often need to be doing things away from their desks, so the clipboards would come in very handy! The brightly colored paper would be used to create learning activities.
Thank you for helping me to make learning more engaging!
