Wonderful Word Work

My students need manipulatives and games to build their letter sound fluency, sight word recognition, ability to recognize rhymes, and make new words from existing words.

My Students

My sweet firsties come to school every day full of energy and eager to learn new things! They love exploring and reading with their friends in our classroom.

They are so excited about each others achievements!

I want them to have experiences this year to foster a life long love of learning! Our school is a Title 1 school in a small rural community. However, despite any hardships they are excited about school and learning! I want them to know that school is a place where learning is FUN!

My Project

My students will benefit greatly from the materials I have asked for in this project. The letter tiles, magnets, and stamps will help them distinguish upper and lower case letters, as well as vowels from consonants. My students will also use these resources to create words. The games will help with beginning and ending sounds and make learning fun!

These materials will provide students with hands on experiences to manipulate the materials for a variety of learning challenges and abilities!

Students will use these materials individually, small group, and whole group settings. My students would greatly benefit from this addition to our classroom and will become better readers from the skills they are learning using them!
